STILL A BLOGGER

I have been one lame mom. I feel like this is a journal for me and my family and I haven't posted something forever. There is not a week that goes by that I don't think about it. I am going to try and do better. Blogging is much more meaningful than Facebook(sorry FACEBOOK lovers). I love how Gavin can go back through our blog and see the changes in his life. I want the same thing for Taylor.

Our little PIRATE(Taylor)
We call her our little pirate because she only has one upper front tooth. It fully grew in before the other one. Taylor has just turned ONE! She has changed so much. It still amazes me the growth and development that happens in the first year. She isn't walking yet but standing up on her own. I don't know if she's even close to walking. A couple of weeks ago she learned how to go up and down the stairs. She loves our dog "Rocky"! In fact her first word was dog. She can say dog and dad. She LOVES her daddy and he loves her. I can tell already that they are going to have a good relationship. Travis loves to spend time with Taylor. Yesterday he took Taylor all day so I could go skiing with my family. He insisted that he took care of our little girl. What a good dad! She also loves her brother. Anytime he comes into the room her eyes light up. He definitely keeps her entertained.

Gavin is still such a fun little boy. His energy is unstoppable, there is not a dull moment. He still loves his trains, cars, airplanes and motorcycles. Just the other day he told me that dad's motorcycle was so cool and he can't wait to ride it this summer. He informed me that he's going to take it on rides all the time with dad. We'll have to see about that. In the last several months he has picked up how to whistle, blowing inside and out, thanks to "Grandma Jilly Bean". He is also proud of himself because he can skip. We have been taking him skiing frequently this winter and he loves to go over all the jumps. Supposedly he almost touched the moon on one jump. He loves going to AnnaLisa's preschool. He enjoys being around all of his friends. We are lucky to have found such a wonderful preschool. In January he stayed almost a week with Grandma Smart while I went to Denver to visit friends. There is no doubt that he had a BLAST. Grandma warned me that he was going to be spoiled and she was right. It was like Christmas all over again. Grandma made cookies, watched movies, swam in the hot tub, played with cousins, went to "OLD MCDONALDS"(aka McDonalds) and bought him new toys. When it was time for him to go home he didn't want to go. I don't blame him!

Yeah for you blogging! I love reading about what's going on with the Smart family. And yes, I totally agree that it's such a great way to keep a good history of the family. Little Taylor is such a doll and I totally think she looks like you in that picture. Reese calls McDonald's "Old-McDonald's" too. It's too cute to correct, don't you think? :) Keep up the blogging when you can!

Amen, Rachel! Are the tips of Taylor's hair dark? My sister's niece had that and everyone thought her mommy dyed the tips because she was a hair dresser. I've never seen another baby's hair grow in that way. So funny!

And welcome back to the blogging world, we've missed you!
