Gavin has been way excited for summer, just like the rest of us! Unfortunately, the weather hasn't been too great. It even snowed last weekend. Gavin keeps asking me when it's time to get the swimming pool out. The temperature today didn't get very warm, maybe 55 and it was cloudy, windy and rainy. Warm weather or not, he was anxious to get the pool out today so he took matters into his own hands.
He ran in the house and yelled,
"Mom, mom, I opened the little box house(aka the green house where we store all the summer toys) and the swimming pool's inside."
"Oh cool Gav" and then he ran back outside.
Ten minutes went by and he came running back inside, even more excited than before.
"MOM I got the swimming pool out and filled it up with water. Can I put my swim suit on and go swimming?"
I couldn't believe he pulled the pool out all by himself. His little eyes were bouncing with so much excitement, how could I resist?
It took two seconds to get his swimming trunks on and then he flew outside. I don't think he hesitated one bit to jump in. I was just standing outside taking pictures and I was cold. He started shivering but he didn't care he just kept playing. I was laughing so hard. He was in second heaven. It didn't last very long but he got what he wanted. I am sure he will think twice before he jumps into ice cold water again. I sure had fun watching.

ONE TOUGH LITTLE BOY.... the face makes up for the muscles and the 10,000 goose bumps!

your hair is so amazing. i don't think she has lost one strand. And Gav, that face is priceless!
I totally agree! I want to blow that picture up of Gavin for myself. Where did those cheeks come from, BTW? So cute! I just want to squeeze and kiss them!
Boys will be boys! Mine do the same...but our neighborhood pool has a shower and they spend most of their time in it's warm water and not in the pool!!
Taylor is so sweet~and I can't believe that hair. I've heard about it...can't wait to meet her one day!
you know maybe if we were all as wishful as Gavin summer would actually arrive. How cute! Your little girl is adorable!
I just love looking at your adorable photos of your darling children! I've missed them!! That's so cute Gavin wanted to go swimming, I remember my brothers doing that a lot when it was freezing outside. They'd even come inside for a 'popsicle break' mid teeth chatter. Haha! Boys will be boys :)
How I love the determination! That will come into good use someday. I think I need another baby girl fix, so anytime you need a sitter just call!! :)
Oh my goodness, she is getting cuter and cuter! I can't wait to spoil her rotten and hold her when we see you next! Love ya!
Cuties!!! I miss them already!!! Love you guys!! :)
