Let it Snow!

We have accumulated about two and half feet of snow in the last week. It's been much needed moisture for our area. Plus, what can I say, it's good for the skiing. I would of loved to join Travis last week to ski the light, fresh, silky smooth, uncut POWDER. Oh how I wish I could of made just one tinny run, JUST ONE! I should of gone, maybe that would of put me into labor :) Honestly, I've been okay missing a year of skiing. It's been fun watching Gavin progress. I usually hike up the runs at Dollar and take pictures of Gavin skiing down. Saturday he started skiing all by himself. His coordination and strength has made a huge improvement from last year. Instead of turning, he likes to go straight down the hill. Gavin loves going FAST and going off little jumps.

This is our driveway... we haven't invested in a snow blower yet. I am pretty sure we are the only ones in the area without a snow blower. By the end of the week Travis was ready to go buy one.

Like I said, Gavin loves going off these little jumps down the run. It doesn't look like much of a jump, but it is for a three year old.

I love it when dad throws snow in my face!!!

In the "Hunt" family there is no such thing as just one ski outfit. Now my child has two outfits, an Obermeyer and Burton. While we were in Pocatello over New Years we didn't bother to pack Gavin's winter clothing. Grandpa took matters into his own hands and bought Gavin a one piece. At first we thought it was kind of nerdy. But now we are convinced that one pieces are the way to go. They are so easy to take on and off.

Did I mention Gavin loves to ride the chairlift. This is our friends Davina and her little boy Owen, next to Gavin and Travis.

I am so impressed your 3 year old can ski so well! I'm still a chicken to even try! And I can't believe how much snow you guys have!!! That's probably really fun for Gavin. Good luck with Labor... hopefully you have that baby soon. Can't wait to hear all the details!

I was just recenly telling somebody about "this little boy who started skiing when he was 2". Seriously so cute! Also, I have been thinking about you a ton lately, wondering how that baby's doing and also because I have something that I've been meaning to send to you for 2 weeks now! I need to get my lazy booty to the post office. I can't believe you are so close!
